Systems Manager

 

Job Description

The Systems Manager will participate in strategic planning and development associated with the future design, performance, and capacity management of the company's data infrastructure. It is a hands-on management position. Responsibilities include: Server setup and configuration. System tuning, troubleshooting and maintenance. Installation of Operating System patches. Maintainance and administration of backup and recovery procedures and off-site storage procedures. Provide technical support to the Help Desk with regard to server-related issues. Participate in the on-call 24/7 team supporting systems. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package. Bonus eligible.
 

Qualifications

3+ years of professional IT experience in Windows Systems operational support. Hands-on implementation and configuration of network devices in a LAN/WAN environment. Proven track record in the administration and support of Windows 2003 server, Microsoft Active directory, Microsoft Exchange 2003, Microsoft SQL server, Citrix, Windows XP, Symantec Backup Exec, and MS Office Suite products. Knowledge of Fibre-Channel SAN arrays, DHCP, DNS, IIS, WINS and Group Policies. Knowledge of Cisco ASA, routers and switches a plus. Current MCSE or other certifications a plus. Programming and scripting experience in C+, Visual Basic and/or Pearl a plus. Strong software and hardware troubleshooting skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Bachelor's Degree required.
